Technical Project Manager

Summary:

Manage and facilitate software development schedule, budget and stakeholder updates, monitor/identify milestones and release schedule

Monitor and report progress of schedule and budget at the initiative, release, and sprint level to business and technology leadership

Recommend software development process improvements

Schedule and help with facilitating meetings with leadership and stakeholders

Measure and forecast development team capacity and velocity

Manage development dependencies with other teams

Identify team action items and lead them through to completion

Identify and remove development team blockers

Outline risk analysis and mitigation plans

Provide project updates using transparent metrics and KPIs

Duties:

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) will manages software projects within the Technology Studio.

Manage local and geographically-distributed virtual teams.

Create and manage software development schedules and staffing plans with stakeholder input.

Manage budgets and deliver regular project updates.

Interact with key Business Stakeholders, Engineering/Product Leaders, and Executive Sponsors.

Provide project updates using transparent metrics/KPIs, outline risks analysis and mitigation plans

Manage development dependencies with other teams.

Lead the selection, evaluation, and contracting of external vendors; manage vendor relationships, project quality, and delivery.

Proactively remove obstacles to drive momentum and progress.

Identify communication gaps, manage issue escalations and provide support to teams balancing competing priorities.

Understand and champion the overall project goals.

Implement continuous improvements to the Tech Studio organization by sharing project process frameworks, tools, and best practices that can be adopted throughout the organization.

Technical Responsibilities:

Drive early concept development of technical solutions for creative content including high level hardware/system architecture for a holistic view of the entire system.

Create and manage product/project road-maps, scopes of work, technical design documents.

Gather requirements from multiple stakeholders and efficiently handle competing priorities.

Oversee and assist in collaboration between diverse internal/external technical teams from creative idealization teams to mechanical design/engineering teams.

Oversee on-site installation and handover of attractions.

Travel may be required.

Lead and participate in continuous play-testing and software testing/validation.

Basic Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in software project management.

Previous experience in software implementation and development.

Experience using JIRA, Confluence, PowerPoint, and MS Project (or similar).
