Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze network/system logs for security and performance issues with tools such as PRTG, Netflow and provide metrics in this area.
  • Be a part of the Network team and collaborate on any security, firewall or networking administration.
  • Have expert knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, multi-protocol routing concepts, VPN' s, IP/ARP/MAC, troubleshooting VLAN or physical connectivity for servers and other devices, troubleshooting Cisco access-list, NAT issues.
  • Experienced knowledge of Data Center Environments and Colocation.
  • Research, analyze, and recommend new solutions and technologies.
  • Maintain a highly available and scalable network environment.
  • Assist with technical issues, project management, design, analysis and implementation of network solutions as needed.
  • Develop and execute mitigation plans for technical issues.
  • Prepare periodic maintenance plans and comply with change management procedures.
  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions.
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks using Powershell, C#, or Java.
  • Configuration and support of Windows Active Directory.
  • Configuration and support of SAN' s EMC XtremeIO and VNX 5400.
  • Participate in site capacity planning and modeling.
  • Provide General IT support for any system and applications requests or issues.
  • Monitoring and support of servers and network in a production environment.
  • Experience with Cisco VOIP telephony, CUCM, UNITY, UCCX, and UCCX Scripting.
  • Updating documentation of the configuration of systems.
  • Be available on-call support and for any system outages.
  • Willing to work helpdesk tickets and documenting solutions.
  • Working knowledge of SQL server and SQL Server Reporting Service.
  • Working knowledge of Wordpress Website development.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor' s degree in Computer Science or a relevant combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of expertise in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including: firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points and controllers, and monitoring applications.
  • Must be analytical, organized, and detail oriented, conscientious of time commitments and management' s requests.
  • CCNA and MCSE certifications required.
  • Extensive knowledge of network architecture including switching, routing, trunking, VLANS, subnetting, 802.11 wireless, and IP utilities.
  • Routing protocols OSPF, RIP, BGP, EIGRP.
  • WAN connectivity such as T1/T3, DS3, OC3, OC12, Metro-Ethernet.
