• Demonstrate proficiency on all machines used in contacts (Zone Anneal, Special Purpose, Degreaser, Ovens, Contact Able, Protectma, etc.)
  • Train team members on machine operation and troubleshooting steps as needed
  • Work independently under minimal supervision, act as a facilitator and serve as a resource for others in resolution of complex issues
  • Apply mastery of skills in area of specialization, adapt procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment to meet special needs or new designs
  • Read blueprints, layouts, charts, and job orders for specifications and tooling instructions to determine material requirements and operational sequences
  • Inspect sample work pieces to verify conformance with specifications using instruments such as gages, micrometers, and dial indicators
  • Adjust machine controls and change tool settings to keep dimensions within tolerances
  • Select cutting tools and tooling instructions per written specifications or knowledge of metal properties and shop mathematics
  • Inspect parts for defects and known or trending issues
  • Perform routine machine maintenance checks to ensure tools and equipment meet calibration requirements


  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 5 years' of experience in manufacturing working with machinery desired
  • Minimum of 1 year experience using precision measuring tools desired
  • Basic computer and Math skills required
  • Due to ITAR restrictions, US citizenship or US lawful permanent residency status is required to apply for this position

Physical Requirements:
  • Required to lift 20lbs on occasion
  • Visual acuity to inspect small defects, operate machines, use measuring devices, and complete assembly/fabrication of small parts
  • Requires excellent manual dexterity and hand eye coordination.
  • Manual dexterity to move hands and arms to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects
