Parts Sales Specialist

Under the supervision of the Parts Manager, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction with Aftermarket parts by providing continued timely support while proactively selling our products and services.

Core Functions/Duties:

  • Provides customer information as requested within a timely manner to support sales efforts (i.e., spare parts lists, part availability, etc.)
  • Determines what is needed by the customer per the specifics provided on their machines with minimal errors.
  • Achieves an average customer call wait time to plan based on department and/or location goals and expectations.
  • Fields customer calls to process spare part inquiries, orders, and returns, via telephone.
  • Fields requests for information on a variety of injection molding machines.
  • Achieves an average monthly booking revenue based on department and/or location goals and expectations.
  • Promotes sales programs and products during daily communications with customers.
  • Builds customer interest in the products and services offered by the organization.
  • Provides feedback from customers to facilitate improvement internally.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a sales-oriented position
  • Experience with computer software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, etc.)

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • ERP systems experience preferred
  • Bilingual preferred

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical assembly drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to quickly the company' s machines, products, and systems.
  • Must have vast knowledge of the various machines that are sold and serviced by company.
  • Technical knowledge of hydraulic/electrical components preferred.
  • Positive attitude and aptitude; TEAM player.
  • Initiative and desire to advance knowledge and skills.
  • Proficient data entry skills.
  • Ability to type 55 words per minute.
