Maintenance Mechanic - 3rd Shift

Maintenance Technicians work independently and with other plant personnel to ensure that all work is performed on a timely basis and in an efficient and safe manner. This position is responsible for performing preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. They will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness.

Primary Accountabilities and Supporting Activities

Receive work orders, identify faulty equipment, and acquire parts and equipment to complete repairs.

Repair critical production equipment performing both mechanical and electrical work.

Maintain various machine components such as hydraulics, electrical circuits and AC/DC motor controls, speed controls and motor starters for assembly presses.

Perform mechanical alignment of equipment and mechanical components.

Basic Schematic Interpretation (electrical and hydraulic).

Able to express core electronic, mechanical and hydraulic principles used in electrical and mechanical maintenance technician work assignments.

Acquiring new electrical, mechanical, pneumatics and hydraulics knowledge, better positioning you for advancement.

Conduct basic facility maintenance and repair duties.

Disciplined, problem-solver, logical thinking, troubleshooting team player with a strong work ethic. Attention to detail is required.

Requirements

3+ years maintenance experience.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Must be able to troubleshoot/repair and read schematics for hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.

Experience in PLC and/or CNC, and test equipment repair procedures.

Must be PC literate and very comfortable working in a Microsoft Windows environment.

Communicating accurately, concisely, and professionally with internal customers as to important repair steps taken, parts ordered, and time estimated until completion.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Able to lift and carry products and/or equipment of up to 50 lbs.

Must be available and willing to work and the 3rd shift (11 pm to 7 am), overtime, and weekends.
