Job Captain

Summary:

The architectural job captain oversees the work, reporting progress and issues to the project manager. Ensure the team meets project schedules; creates construction documents are consistant with the requirements of the project manager and client.

Creates documents including 3D BIM models, schematics, and construction drawings in support of to the project manager and clients for review.

Communicate any necessary revisions per feedback from the PM or client, an drelays that information back to the team to be executed.

Ensure accuracy and completion of projects delivered on schedule and within budgetary.

Likely to have input, and/or responsibility for hiring CAD candidates into the team as well.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor' s degree in related field
  • Strong Revit & AutoCAD experience
  • Experience managing project delivery
  • 5 years' experience as a job captain or similar role
  • Strong technical understanding of building systems

Preferred:
  • 7 years' experience lead project delivery teams
  • NCARB registration career path (current registration not required)
  • Google SketchUp
  • LEED® Accreditation
