The Enterprise IT Solutions organization is looking for an IT Project Manager to join the team and be responsible for the matrix management of projects spanning Information Technology and the UniFirst business units. The IT Project Manager will be responsible to guide new / current projects in the IT roadmap and see it through delivery to realize Benefits for IT & Business units. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for the end to end planning, development and implementation of medium to large-sized, moderate to highly complex IT projects using industry best practices (Scrum, UP, ITIL, Six Sigma).  The IT Project Manager will help realize project objectives by developing Project Management Plan, identify and report progress on Project KPIs, document and communicate risks and mitigation strategies and will be responsible for coordinating among multiple project teams to garner and share a dashboard view of the Projects within the Program.

Responsibilities:

Enable cross-functional collaboration between the business and IT. Work with business partners to gather requirements and deliver value and ROI of projects
Author and Manage development and management of project plans, resource identification and coordination, and management of project-related communications and escalations
Manage the Intake/flow of new/on-going projects working with the project teams in a matrix organization.  Facilitate sprint planning/ standup/ retrospective sessions and engage Business with IT activities and communicate progress.  Ensure stage gates and compliance deliverables are managed.
Partner with stakeholders to coordinate project scope, goals, deliverables and IT program timelines.
Ensures project goals are met in a timely and cost effective manner. Manages project activity and keeps IT Management informed of project progress.
Work in/with the Project Management Office (e.g. methodology guidance, compliance/audit, gating process, etc.)
Serve as a bridge between the cross functional teams, vendors and central IT resources in coordinating dependencies between teams, project start up and transition of projects to operations.
Use release plan and capacity metrics to provide proactive resource recommendations to Sr. Management. 
With the Scrum Master, mentor and coach Product Owners in developing their vision and roadmap for their products.  Monitor backlog to ensure work reflects business priorities.
Stay informed on the progress of IT projects/programs, tracking milestones and deliverables, and provide regular status reporting to all levels of stakeholders (Executives, IT management and project team members). 
Assists with internal and external communication to improve transparency and set expectations.
Provide ad hoc reports as requested (budget, purchasing, tracking spreadsheets, bug reports, or consultant resource tracking).
Minimum 5 years of experience directly managing small, medium or large complexity projects/products in a rapid application development & delivery program is desired.  Experience working in COTS and Custom solutions delivery is desired.
Experience leading geographically dispersed teams within North America a plus.
Experience implementing Scaled Agile (SAFE) or Agile Release Trains a plus.
Proven success managing projects in a matrix environment where influence without direct authority is required.
Hands on experience working with ALM tools (CA Agile Central/Rally, Jira, HPQC etc.) is required.  PPM Tools experience a plus.
4-year Bachelor's degree required. 
PMP, PMI-ACP, Prince2, CAPM or Scrum (CSM, CPO, CSD) certification is desired, not required.
PPM Tools knowledge desired (IBM tools, CA tools, Project Manager.com)
Agile & waterfall - Scrum, Lean, XP, UP, Rally, Jira, HPQC, MS Project, Visio 
Travel - Strong communication skills: ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
Ability to communicate programs status and create reports using reporting tools (Tableau, Crystal Reports, Pivot charts).
