Required Skills:

  • Bachelor' s Degree in a related field from an accredited four-year college or university, Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
  • Twenty (20) years of construction experience.
  • Fifteen (15) years of related experience; construction and management experience required in Waste Water Treatment Plants or similar projects.
  • Experience in large civil infrastructure projects ($100M plus) in similar role.
  • Experience in infrastructure projects with complex/large concrete structures.
  • Organizational ability - able to plan, prioritize, organize and monitor activities and projects.
  • Able to work well in a a group environment and foster a team approach.
  • Communication - excellent oral presentation and written skills.
  • Goal oriented - able tot set goals and achieve them.
  • Interpersonal - able to work well and persuade people at all organization levels.
  • Must possess knowledge and application of construction estimating, costs, projects controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, techniques, materials, applications and practices.
  • Must possess understanding of contracts, documents, drawings and specifications.
  • This position will require working in a field office setting at the project site.

  • Manage all field operations and work sequence.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  • Assist subordinate supervisors in maintaining production on budget and schedule.
  • Coordinate with other management professional staff responsible for quality, safety, engineering and commercial.
  • Review project estimate or plan to determine schedule estimated job cost, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
  • Anticipates project needs with sufficient lead-time to avoid delay of production.
  • Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project.
  • Oversees coordination with project staff to outline work plans, assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
  • As required prepares project reports for management, owners, and subcontractors.
  • Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
  • Provide positive safety leadership to project.
  • Demonstrates leadership in Health, Safety & Environment protection on the project.
  • Applies the requirements of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to promote overall compliance of H, S&E standards, OSHA Regulations & codes with all employees, vendors and subcontractors.
  • Review field operation and ensure that the project provides a safe workplace.
  • Ensures that the work is performed in accordance with the Quality Plan.
  • Develop and maintain productive business relationships and manage subcontractor, client/owner, engineers and unions.
  • Perform additional assignments per management' s direction.
