Civil Engineering Manager
The ideal candidate will help expand civil engineering work with existing clients and develop new clients and business, while managing multiple projects and employees. This individual will be open-minded, innovative, and determined to create similar growth alongside the other business units within the company.

As a Sr. Civil Engineering Manager, job responsibilities include the following:

  • Develop plans for business development and report to Engineering Program Manager
  • Manage multiple engineering projects at one time
  • Manage capital projects from concept thru completion
  • Lead project scope, budget preparation, process planning, permitting, execution and control of assigned projects
  • Manage a team of other Project Engineers, Technicians, and CAD Designers
  • Assist in preparation of technical reports and permit applications
  • Use of AutoCAD packages to design projects
  • Help determine changes within civil department that include new hires and terminations within the project group
  • Train, support, and develop your team members

  • Minimum BS in Civil Engineering, master' s preferred
  • PE (Professional Engineer) license in Illinois, and willing to become licensed in other states
  • Experience in the Utility Sector
  • Must have experience managing capital projects of at least $5MM
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a civil engineer role
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manager role
  • Computer proficiency
  • Must be open minded, creative, and confident
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
  • Must be open to travel up to 5-25% of the year
