Required Skills:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Bachelor' s Degree is a plus.
  • Ten (10) years of related experience; construction and management experience required in Commercial building construction.
  • Knowledge and experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Blue Beam and Navisworks.
  • Knowledge with Primavera P6 Scheduling Software is a plus.
  • Communication - excellent oral presentation and written skills.
  • Goal oriented - able to set goals and achieve them.
  • Organizational ability - able to plan, prioritize, organize and monitor activities and projects.
  • Able to work well in a group environment and foster a team approach.
  • Must possess understanding of contracts, documents, drawings and specifications.
  • This position will require working in a field office setting at the project site as well as subcontractor coordination in the field.

  • Supervise construction of multiple commercial buildings.
  • Architectural finishes will be the primary area of expertise required.
  • Four of the buildings are primarily electrical in function, and a basic knowledge of electrical construction will be a plus.
  • The two major buildings are the ACC building which houses the new laboratory and offices as well as the main power and communications for the project. The Blower building houses six blowers and the aeration piping and equipment to supply air to the aeration system for the project.
  • Architectural finishes include structural steel, precast concrete wall panels, coatings, metal stud walls, sheet rock, acoustic tile, terrazzo flooring, laboratory and office equipment, metal roof decking insulation and EPDM system, with flashing and trim, doors, aluminum store fronts, and translucent wall panels.
  • Supervise 15-20 subcontractors involved with the construction of these buildings.
  • Assist subordinate supervisors in maintaining production on budget and schedule.
  • Ensures that the work is performed in accordance with the Quality Plan.
  • As required, prepare project reports for management, owner, and subcontractors.
  • Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety & Environmental protection on the project.
  • Apply the requirements of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to promote overall compliance of H, S&E standards, OSHA Regulations & Codes with all employees, vendors and subcontractors.
  • Review field operation and ensure that the project provides a safe workplace
  • Develop and maintain productive business relationships and manage subcontractors.
