Application Technician/Customer Support

Our customer is looking for someone to support ongoing product development, assist customers during installation and service times, ordering/managing inventory, and occasional product design issues.

Desired Skills:

  • Good mechanical aptitude," tinkerer" mentality.
  • Experience in hands on technician role.
  • Associates in Mechanical Engineering preferred but not required.
  • Understanding and experience with computer based inventory systems-order parts, update BOMs, some purchasing/procurement.
  • Customer facing skills-ability to speak with and guide customers with phone based support.
  • AutoCAD preferred-ability to review, read existing drawings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Answer all 2nd ring phone calls (primary picks up 1st ring).
  • Receive customer orders and enter into accounting system.
  • Tech support for mechanical calls.
  • Maintain inventory.
  • Create PO' s
  • Works on pricing/volume discounts/alternate vendors.
  • Create/manage special orders - painted finishes/mechanical components.
  • Create assembly procedures.
  • Maintain bills of material and part numbers.
  • General documentation work.
  • Receive inventory into accounting system.
  • Full customer service roll when main CS person is out.
  • Create and print special labels.
  • Manage rush orders through office and shop.
