PCORI seeks an Associate General Counsel to help advance PCORI's ability to strategically and effectively fund, monitor, and disseminate findings from patient-centered, comparative CER and other programmatic awards by providing legal advice to multiple PCORI departments on a number of legal matters. The Associate General Counsel will report to PCORI's General Counsel, Mary Hennessey.

Relocation: Local candidates are preferred.

Bar: Active bar membership in Washington, DC or eligible for admission within the first year of employment at PCORI.

Required Experience

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of legal experience in a top tier law firm or in-house position, preferably at a life sciences company, academic medical center, health system, federal health-related and/or research grant agency, or clinical research funder or sponsor.
  • Subject matter expertise in health care, human subject research compliance, big data, HIPAA and other data privacy and security issues, academic medical centers, commercially-sponsored or federally or privately-funded clinical research issues and related federal regulatory framework expected.
