Install, configure and maintain Unix and Linux operating systems, both bare metal and VM.

Experience with Linux Servers (Redhat, Ubuntu, CentOS) and Virtualization Technologies (VMWare, Nutanix, and Public Cloud).

Well versed with patching tools and centralized configuration management.

Advanced Red Hat Linux and ubuntu system administration

Management of disk partitioning, filesystems and LVM

Repository administration on Linux and Ubuntu(building/syncing/configuring/rpm management), 

Kernel performance tuning, GRUB configuration and services management

Experience with Linux/unix OS hardening and security tools

Knowledge of Server hardware and technologies (Rack/Blade/UCS)

Strong understanding of Networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, sub netting, TCP/IP)

Strong scripting or programming background(Shell, Perl, ruby - moderate skills required, extensive preferred)

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Strong communication and project management skills

Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Industry Certification (Redhat/Ubuntu/Openstack) is a plus
