The Big Data Application Servicing Team within the Enterprise Data Platform Organization provides the DevOps platform for the Data Developer Community of PayPal to Build, Test, Deploy, Schedule, Run and Manager their applications and jobs across various data stores (Oracle, Teradata, Hadoop, etc.,). The platform hosts around 100K+ jobs across 3 Schedulers that runs
500K executions per day. We are looking to hire a software engineer to build developer frameworks for Big data applications.
- Should have 6+ years of hands-on experience in designing and developing high scale distributed systems
- Hands on Programming Experience in Java and Python and solid understanding of Software Delivery Life Cycle
- Product Development Experience is a must.
- Ability to design a module keeping the end to end picture in mind
- Ability to adapt to new development Environments and Changing Business Requirements
- Effective Team Player and with ability to work with cross functional teams to deliver a common goal
- Ability to present and showcase the work to customers and management
- Experience in Scheduler Platforms (especially Airflow) is a huge plus
- Ability to think strategically during roadblocks and come up with creative ways to solve the problem
