Configuration Platform team builds and manages the various systems that enable storing and serving externalized distributed configurations for all of PayPal. This platform allows for thousands of configurations per day to be changed dynamically at runtime, enabling workflows that unlock productivity for employees & enterprise alike. You will work on building & managing products from the ground up to provide developers at PayPal a swift, reliable, and innovative way to change and manage their configurations. We are looking for an experienced technologist to help build next generation capabilities.
Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field with 2+ years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience
Core Java, distributed services, REST web services, HTTP, concurrency, Spring frameworks
Experience with common Java APIs and frameworks including JAX-RS, Hibernate, JPA and JMS is preferred
Experience with CI/CD, unit testing, and functional testing
Experience with Github and Jira
Prior experience with high performing engineering teams
Experience with cloud platforms, containers, VMs etc technologies preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience delivering software in a Scrum development process
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments and requirements
Good team player, high EQ
