The PayPal Identity team is seeking an accomplished software engineer to join our User and Business Platform team. The User and Business Platform's team mission is to connect our customers to our many experiences in a safe and secure way. We provide user account life-cycle services and solutions to make the management of our customer's personal and/or business identity with PayPal efficient and secure.

* BS in Computer Science or related degree

* 2+ years experience
* Prior experience in working on large systems.
* Interest in developing high performance, scalable and highly available services
* Good knowledge in Java programming
* Knowledge of REST and best practices in designing and developing APIs
* Understanding of HTTP, SSL, TCP/IP protocols.
* Work in a team environment with a globally distributed team.
* Assist in producing technical documentation, review them with wide audience including managers, Domain Leads, Architects, Site Ops etc.
* Knowledge of common data structures and design patterns.
* Strong written and communication skills
* Strong desire to learn, push the envelope, and share knowledge with others.
