Available in more than 200 markets around the world, the PayPal platform, including Braintree, Venmo and Xoom enables consumers and merchants to receive money in more than 100 currencies, withdraw funds in 56 currencies and hold balances in their PayPal accounts in 25 currencies.

The Global Merchant Lending (GML) team is responsible for building PayPal’s Working Capital and Business Loan products that have already originated more than $15 Billion in funding to over 300,000 businesses. We call it “Dream Fuel”. GML products give businesses access to the capital they need, but faster and easier than traditional loans. The impact we have on our customers’ businesses is what drives us to innovate.

With us, you will enjoy designing technical solutions, working with stakeholders to ensure we develop the correct product for the job at hand.  You will make key technical decisions and communicate them effectively.  You will lead the implementation of those solutions in an agile environment.  We have a passion for quality and writing clean, solid code that scales and performs well.  We are looking for the highest levels of technical talent and programming skills, as well as a keen desire to understand our products and services to push our technology forward with respect to functionality, performance, reliability, and scalability.

You will work with a team of highly collaborative Engineers following team-defined standards and practices in an Agile environment.  As part of the team you will create, test, and deploy these software experiences. At the beginning of the week there is sprint planning where we all talk through the work and estimate the amount we can accomplish in a sprint. During the week work is accomplished through individually picking up tasks, writing code, reviewing each other’s code, and preparing it for a release.
