Pandora has a great opportunity for a talented software engineer who will help deliver Pandora to millions of music fans through consumer electronic devices in the home. Pandora is currently available on over 1,000 devices and is continually expanding and redefining these platforms. Typically, when people think of developing software for devices, they assume this must be embedded firmware development. Not at Pandora, we use modern platforms and language to build these experiences: iOS, Swift, Android, Java, and JavaScript. We are looking for someone to help lead this charge.

  • You enjoy collaborating closely with mobile, web, and backend engineers to make the music listening experience work seamlessly
  • You like to work closely with designers to build a UX that stands out among the best experience for Pandora services

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field with 5+ years of professional experience and 2+ years developing user applications
  • Solid knowledge and professional experience in developing compelling native mobile apps with iOS, Objective-C, and Swift
  • Experience with web app development; HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and Java
  • Experience with API development (i.e. REST, JSON, XML, SOA)
  • Experience developing object-oriented code in Java
  • Experience with Adaptive UI design and development
  • Ability to work in a diverse technical environment
  • Experience in unit testing with frameworks such as JUnit
  • Experience with Agile software development
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Plus Requirements:

  • Developing scalable server-side software running under Linux/Unix
  • Experience working with back end databases (PostgreSQL preferred), using SQL
