Pandora is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to join the Marketing team in Oakland, CA. You will be responsible for the operations and performance of Pandora's CRM marketing strategies across email and push.. The Senior Marketing Manager will be focused on growing and retaining Pandora’s listener base, monitoring campaign effectiveness, promoting channel improvements and working to support the Pandora business via these channels.
The areas of focus include but are not limited to:
Scope, develop, orchestrate, and oversee CRM marketing strategies across email & push to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual performance marketing KPI goals
Manage very high volume of daily campaign delivery, ensuring flawless execution
Drive audience segmentation strategy, including list pulls, partnering with team members and analytics teams to drive targeting and volume requirements
Lead and drive campaign calendar from quarterly planning to the day-to-day approval process
Build and refine event-based triggers and lifecycle campaigns across the entire customer funnel
Conduct competitive analysis to identify white space, innovate & ideate on testing opportunities, and optimize campaign performance
Partner with Marketing Analytics leads to develop and refine MAU & subscription forecasts and budget plans
Lead and develop 2+ marketing associates to execute on campaign strategies and new initiatives, conduct reporting and analysis, glean insights and optimization opportunities, and share learnings out with leadership & cross-functional teams
Steer prioritization and delegation of team’s workload to drive towards marketing KPIs by delivering best-in-class marketing with flawless execution
Represent CRM as SME for email & push marketing best practices to drive towards marketing KPIs & ensure the best UX for listeners
Develop email & push strategies for integrated marketing, partnership, product, and other initiatives that adhere to proper lead times and incorporate CRM requirements
Work regularly with internal cross-functional leads and external enterprise solution partners to migrate marketing assets, execute manual and automated campaigns, and augment marketing through automation
Partner with Marketing Creative Operations lead on new asset creation, providing feedback to bring the creative collateral from asset finalization to launch and post-deployment analysis
Oversee execution on all projects with acute attention to grammatical detail, providing editorial sign-off and ensuring management approval process is met
Manage team to ensure all projects adhere to tight deadlines and turnaround times, keeping projects on track
Design, build and maintain a scalable creative testing and performance reporting repository, that can be shared out and also used as a point of historical reference and guidelines for best practice
Lead team on regularly reporting out campaign performance cross-functionally, ensuring correct data is being reported through partnering with team members, analysts’ teams, and leveraging reporting tools
Monitor data and campaign performance with a discerning eye, identifying anomalies in the data and troubleshooting bugs prior to reporting out
Identify trends and insights in performance data on a day to day basis and work with team on developing new optimization opportunities
Present campaign performance recaps to cross-functional teams and leadership on a regular basis
Own team-wide and cross-functional daily, weekly and monthly reporting cadences to support both evergreen and subscription marketing programs
10+ years of marketing experience with at least 6 years of direct response marketing experience
People management experience
Self-starter, detail oriented. Excellent project management skills
Experience developing full-funnel lifecycle campaigns across email & push
Highly motivated, proactive and able to solve diverse problems efficiently
Great research skills
Highly proficient with enterprise reporting solutions, Tableau, Excel, data analysis, etc.
Excellent written and communication skills
Strong negotiator and advocate for user experience
Effective collaborator and ability to gather consensus around projects you manage
Strong focus on delivering insights that will lead to action
Highly motivated and strong professional acumen
Attending and contributing at a high level in meetings
Ability to understand scope of work and work independently to bring projects to a successful close
