Job Details:

Pandora has a great opportunity for seasoned engineers with several years of diverse experience, and a passion for learning and applying new technical knowledge. You should have outstanding analytical and programming skills, with a deep understanding of large-scale application development. You should have a track record of building robust, scalable, multithreaded applications. As a member of our highly motivated team you should be dedicated to excellence and have a strong sense of personal responsibility. You place a high value on automated testing and have experience writing your own unit, integration, and acceptance tests.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience developing Java web applications and working across the full technology stack
  • Experience developing with JavaScript frameworks such as Ember, Angular, Hibernate, ReactJS, or Backbone.
  • Experience with one of the following SQL-style distributed databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL or NewSQL
  • Experience developing for Linux-based deployment platforms (Debian preferred)
  • Experience with unit testing with frameworks such as JUnit
  • Experience in HTML and CSS development

Pluses:

  • Experience building internal content management tools
  • Industry experience in internet media or e-commerce
  • Experience developing high quality software in Python
  • Experience with MapReduce concepts atop Hadoop, HDFS, and Hive
  • Experience with Agile software development
  • BA/BS or better in Computer Science or related field
