Technical Architect

This position is for Pactiv, a company of Reynolds Group Holding Inc. 


  • Determine skill requirements and resources needed to meet development & technical requirements for complex application development projects
  • Communicate with technical and business contacts to understand and plan for key project challenges within the engineering and development groups
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and leadership to project team members, coordinating project roles and activities
  • Anticipate, identify and develop effective solutions to potential project delays or issues with project team members and end users
  • Review and evaluate the efficacy of projects and proposed systems solutions
  • Coordinate application testing and implementation with business users & appropriate internal IT staff to ensure achievement of project goal & minimize disruption
  • Maintain strong technical knowledge of related systems and business processes
  • Determine solutions that meet demands and requirements with effective, high quality applications to meet business needs and fully utilize systems capabilities
  • Manage multiple projects to effectively meet deadlines
  • Coordinate actions with other business and systems staff members to ensure optimal results are achieved while maintaining an appropriate understanding of overall IT Departmental goals



Bachelor of Science, Computer Sciences or related degree. Master’s Degree a plus. 12 to 15 years of related work experience including solid exposure to business operations ideally with additional exposure to the development of complex, high-level engineering systems and use of related development tools and techniques

  • Experience working with engineering departments, plant floor operators and technical vendors
  • Ability to communicate and work with Reynolds Leverage Services technical group. Pactiv relies on Rank Group technical team for all Infrastructure
  • Project/time management, communications, and general business knowledge
  • Expert level knowledge of applications and systems development tools and methods
  • SAP experience a plus
  • Previous work experience in supervising others preferred
  • Up to 50% travel
  • Knowledge of project management and system development life cycle
