Sr Operations Manager

This position is for Pactiv, a company of Reynolds Group Holding Inc.


  • Lead warehouse layout improvement projects to support warehouses
  • Assist plants with Materials Handling Equipment bidding & contracts
  • Support the Supply Chain Operations team with budgeting, space planning, and executing outside storage options when necessary
  • Assist the Supply Chain network optimization team with WMS (warehouse management system) configuration improvements to maximize warehouse efficiencies
  • Collaborate with 3PL experts to maximize efficiencies at externally operated warehouse facilities
  • Identify anomalies and build consensus on go-forward action plan
  • Manage and progress relationships with suppliers (MHE Equipment vendors, General Contractors, 3PL providers, Rack Vendors, Landlords, etc.)
  • Analyze and deliver recommendations for initiatives such as warehouse sizing, re-engineering/layout warehouse space, and other analytical support
  • Assist in negotiation preparation for 3PL contracts and real estate leases
  • Represent the warehousing team on various cross functional cost and feasibility analyses (C&F’s) Project Management:
  • Assist cross functional business owners with business case development for prospective projects
  • As necessary, lead the planning and execution of project deliverables
  • Project lead is responsible for managing the budget, work plan and all project control elements
  • Facilitate project meetings and maintain project documentation


  • BA/BS degree preferred (Industrial Engineering/Management, Supply Chain or Logistics is preferred)
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years distribution analytics related experience is required
  • Prior experience in Warehousing, Logistics, Operations and/or Information Systems is a plus
  • Experience in warehouse layout/design using AutoCAD is preferred
  • Project Management experience is strongly preferred Other:
  • Advanced Excel skills are required (Ability to interpret/analyze large spreadsheets of data using complex formulas, pivot tables, macros, and v-lookups)
  • Detail oriented (technical skills background) is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and balance multiple priorities with little guidance
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal. Strong computer skills (Excel, AutoCAD, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Visio)
  • Problem Solving Skills
  • Experience in understanding and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders
  • Financial analysis/decision making experience
