Sr. Director Manufacturing Finance

This position is for Pactiv, a company of Reynolds Group Holding Inc.

The successful candidate is a decisive leader and skilled business partner with expertise in providing transparency to the financial trajectory of the manufacturing organization.  Proven ability to drive business results in a matrixed organization is required.  Day to day, the role will provide leadership and coordination of all manufacturing finance activities and resources for 18 plants located throughout the US.  Primary responsibilities include financial close, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, metrics and internal control compliance.  All accounting and reporting to conform to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.  

Primary Responsibilities

  • Direct all finance activities for the manufacturing locations, including: Month end close, budgeting, forecasting, standard costing, and internal control compliance
  • Partner with Operational Leadership
  • Ensure a correct and appropriate standard cost environment for our Commercial team
  • Coordinate monthly review of financial results against budget and forecast
  • Manage the preparation and submission of BU manufacturing finance reporting
  • Manage the review and preparation of monthly and quarterly financial forecasts
  • Provide visibility to the offset of inflation and overall attainment of cost savings initiatives
  • Oversee financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions
  • Assess, update and improve policies and procedures as appropriate
  • Establish and manage department goals and objectives
  • Ensure and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish department goals and objectives
  • Effectively manage and develop assigned staff in a manner consistent with organizational policies and values
  • Improve existing processes and enhance the effective utilization of personnel and material resources

Education and Skill Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with an Accounting emphasis or work experience
  • Certified Public Accountant experience
  • Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing organization with plant oversight
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint as well as ERP-based financial systems and data warehouses is required
