Position Description: 

Supports the Team Leader in accomplishing the team’s overall mission. Leads natural work teams in day-to-day operations. Leads natural teams in areas of productivity, operations, safety, quality and team effectiveness. The Natural Team Leader will be required to fill in/cover for the team leader during absences, vacations, and other periods of leave. The Natural Team Leader will also be required to work overtime and perform other job duties as assigned. The above responsibilities are in addition to existing job responsibilities.


Operates a line and ensures that lines are running well, following line conditions, standard operating procedures, proper settings, etc.

Monitors scrap generation and line downtime and line efficiency.  

Resolves non-poly issues with the warehouse.

Ensures Bill of Material compliance.

Ensures troubleshooting process is consistently followed and monitors ongoing repairs. Supports preventative maintenance, tool changes.

Enforces safety rules, GMP and the use of proper PPE.

Conducts investigations on safety incidents (Accidents, Fires, Spills, Near Misses) and notifies management of all safety incidents.

Coordinates training for new employees and temporary personnel.

Verifies quality checks are completed by operators as required.

Assigns housekeeping duties to all operators.

Handles personnel issues, documenting all issues, and handles conflicts between employees. Recommends necessary disciplinary actions to Team Leader and/or Production Manager.

Handles operator performance issues, counseling employees as needed.

Performs other job duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:

  • Must currently be an Operator C in Thermoforming
  • 1+ years’ work experience in manufacturing production within plant or a related field preferred.
  • Familiar with current plant work process flow.
  • Prior leadership experience preferred.

Requirements: Annual completion of all health and safety programs.

Education and/or Experience:    HS Diploma or equivalency preferred; previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is required; Ability to lead, motivate and develop the team and be able to work well with others effectively as a part of a team is essential; Flexibility to work overtime and off shifts as needed

Language Skills:       English; Spanish helpful                                              

Mathematical Skills:      Basic

Computer Skills:         Microsoft Office, SAP Timekeeping and Production,

Physical Demands:       Standing, walking, sitting, stooping, squatting, twisting, climbing, lifting up to 30 lbs., pushing, pulling, carrying, and reaching.

Work Environment:     Loud, humid, extreme heat (depending on season), dusty, fumes
