Sales Engineer

Outbrain is seeking a Sales Engineer to play a key role in expanding our business. The Sales Engineer will be a key technical resource and advisor during the sales cycle and will provide technical suggestions and advise the sales team on the most suitable implementation/deployment options for a particular client need. The ideal candidate will assist the client and will provide technical know-hows and best practices to ensure the proper implementation of Outbrain solutions in addition to providing technical information and training to clients as needed. This candidate will also work with both internal and external parties to ensure that technical issues are handled quickly and appropriately.

This position will form a close partnership with Account Management, Product Management, Engineering and Sales Teams and will contribute to successful implementation and use of Outbrain products. The Sales Engineer will be challenged by complex technical problems and detailed customer configuration questions.

Responsibilities

● Participate and advise our sales team during sales cycle.

● Assist and educate the client in choosing a suitable solutions for their needs

● Provide technical know-hows and best practices to ensure a proper implementation of Outbrain solutions

● Facilitate integration process by providing technical assistance to both Account Managers and clients (first-time and repeat alike)

● Provide product education and advice both internally and externally

● Diligently troubleshoot product issues

● Make technical presentations and demonstrate product features

● Apply fundamental troubleshooting skills to issues before escalating to the appropriate group

Qualifications

● BA/BS degree or equivalent

● 5 years of experience in a technical client services environment

● 5 years of experience with HTML, CSS, Scripting, server-side technologies and JavaScript

● 3-5 years of experience with implementing product SDK/API solutions

● Proficiency in XPath(ing)/Regex(ing) content

● Strong knowledge of Internet technologies and a demonstrated capacity to learn

● Ability to actively drive problems to resolution

● Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills

● Exceptional organization and prioritization skills

● Exceptional client facing skills

● Ability to interact with management and peers in an appropriate, professional manner

● Effective cross-department communication

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written), a team player

● Experience troubleshooting technical issues for external clients

● Bonus: Experience using CRM products
