Bilingual Medical Assistant Specialist

Hi, we're Oscar. We’re hiring a Bilingual Medical Assistant Specialist to join our Virtual Care team to sit remotely in Florida.

About the role:

As we grow out our Virtual Primary Care offering, we’re looking for Medical Assistants to assist a Care Team in managing a panel of patients with a ‘virtual first’ mindset. You’ll be working with a Care Team of MDs, Advanced Practitioners, and Nurses to provide collaborative care. 

As a Specialist you will report directly to the Virtual Operations Lead.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for your Care Team, including virtual MDs, Advanced Practitioners and Nurses.
  • Be available to help resolve member issues by autonomously serving as the first point of contact for all member escalations. 
  • Oversee planning for each member's medical needs to solution.
  • Provide guidance and encouragement to Guides
  • Partner with and attend team member meetings to discuss trends and problem areas with systems, workflows, regulations, compliance, and our network.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years experience as a Medical Assistant or similar certification and education
  • Experience providing customer experience
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish with the ability to read, write & speak fluently.
  • Must be available some nights and weekends and some on-call rotations.
  • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures.

Bonus points:

  • Experience as a supervisor or leader. 
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and patient management software (EHR).
