Required Skills and Experience: you have…

  • A strong record in senior software QA roles across a range of Agile methodologies (eg Kanban, Scrum)
  • Successfully implemented automated testing to create reliable, high-performance software
  • Demonstrable ability using TDD and BDD to deliver software meeting business and quality objectives
  • A proven background driving quality process improvement across teams
  • Expert understanding of full QA landscape: unit, integration, regression, performance testing, etc
  • Familiarity testing multi-tiered, high-performance, highly-available, scalable systems
  • A Computing / I.T. degree or equivalent qualifications/experience

You can…

  • Use your knowledge and expertise to help build world-class QA and testing infrastructure and process
  • Work with business stakeholders to define quality requirements and success criteria
  • Create and maintain Acceptance Criteria for User Stories and develop Test Cases from these
  • Take ownership for addressing QA deficiencies to prevent recurrence of Live issues
  • Collaborate across teams to define common QA approach and maximise efficiency of QA processes
  • Participate in recruitment of other great QA staff to expand the teams

Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise with Jira, Greenhopper and similar tools
  • Understanding of distributed, multi-threaded, SOA and SaaS system architectures
  • Knowledge of international standards for system and data security and integrity
  • Experience with Java/Linux software development environments
  • Appreciation of database technologies, both relational and “no-SQL”
  • Knowledge of global mobile messaging technologies (SMS, MMS, SMPP)
  • Experience of Customer Issue Tracking and Resolution, and Root Cause Analysis
  • HTTP and RESTful Web Services
  • Continuous integration and continuous delivery processes and tools (e.g. Jenkins)
  • QA Frameworks such as JUnit, Jmock, Hamcrest, Cucumber
