The Role
Opendoor is scaling rapidly across the US and is looking for a talented IT Engineer. Working from our San Francisco headquarters, you’ll play a crucial role in improving our corporate infrastructure. You’ll work with our endpoint management tools, network and telephony infrastructure, identity provider, on-boarding and off-boarding procedures, and overall IT processes. We have a small but growing IT team and are looking for somebody who can help make a big impact on the way we work at Opendoor. We move really fast and believe collaboration is critical for success. We are a results driven, high-energy team, and we also like to have fun in the process.

Things you’ll be working on:

  • Windows configuration automation using Intune or other tools
  • Managing our networks across multiple different sites
  • Teaming up with our Security team to ensure effective security controls are considered and implemented
  • Technical documentation (FAQs, knowledge base write-ups, network and AV diagrams, application matrices)
  • IdP administration
  • Finding new ways to empower end-users through self-service, virtualization, or other means
  • Collaborating with department leads to determine how IT can help solve our biggest technical issues
  • Project management
  • Office build-outs from start to finish(we’re planning for explosive growth in new cities!)
  • Determining new ways to help support our growing remote offices
  • Scoping out our current application set and working with stakeholders to find ways to consolidate services
  • Asset management and lifecycle processes
  • Mentoring our IT Technicians and acting as an escalation point for any complex issues

Must Have:

  • 4+ years experience in a fast-paced IT environment
  • Windows experience - we’re a Mac shop, but this role will have a large Windows administration component
  • Strong understanding of Intune, SCCM, or similar
  • Fundamental understanding of networking
  • Natural problem-solving abilities
  • Automation in your blood

Bonus:

  • Experience with Macs
  • Knowledge of at least one scripting language to automate day to day tasks (PowerShell preferred)
  • Willing to travel to other sites for the occasional IT setup or new office build-out
