Technical Project Manager

Our Technical PM’s, are vital to the development of quality digital products.  They lead teams of designers, engineers, and architects to deliver custom solutions for our clients. They are enthusiastic problem solvers who thrive on being engaged in all levels of the project. To be successful, project managers must be able to guide both the client and the internal team to ensure that the tone of the engagement and the delivery is on track. They must think quickly under pressure, motivate their teams, and own the timely and accurate delivery of engagements. The ability to read between the lines, anticipate issues, and communicate consistently and accurately across various project channels are key requirements.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a professional services-based organization working on large projects with top tier consulting firms or interactive agencies (including web, mobile, video, brand, and strategic consulting projects)
  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 3+ years of infrastructure experience
  • Proven ability to manage long term, multi-million dollar engagements with multiple project tracks and teams
  • Ability to interact with clients of all levels and industry backgrounds, from the CEO to administrative support staff
  • Firm understanding of project management processes and methodologies
  • Strong understanding of web development and design lifecycle
  • Strong knowledge of web development technologies, technology vendors and third party offerings
  • Ability to manage and mentor
  • BA/MA in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or an MBA preferred
  • UPMA or PMI certification preferred 
  • Experience as a SCRUM Master
  • Understanding of development technologies and third party applications
  • Aptitude to identify project requirements
  • Ability to lead productive calls, identify decisions made, and clearly state action items
  • Experience with issue tracking and resolution software (ex: Jira, Bugzilla)
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills in English

Responsibilities:

  • Create overall project management documentation and work with the project team(s) to execute
  • Monitor day-to-day activities of entire project team and ensure work is progressing as planned
  • Effectively and efficiently plan and prioritize all deliverables and resources working across projects based on scope of work and project goals
  • Actively monitor project risks and scope to foresee/identify potential problems and proactively identify solutions; identify refinement opportunities and deliver improvements
  • Consistently identify needs that clients may not recognize and ensure approaches and solutions are linked to objectives and future needs
