Vice Presidents are seasoned, broadly-capable, senior-level professionals who bring value to clients by analyzing, solving and presenting viable integrated solutions to client problems. They identify and inspire new workstreams and solutions that lead to client growth by collaborating with and drawing on the expertise of the Ogilvy’s vast resources and capabilities. They identify and champion great creative work and understand the importance of flawless delivery, providing exceptional leadership inspiring others to act courageously. Vice Presidents also must possess strong client management skills, presentation skills and the ability to manage the day-to-day business and client relationship on multiple pieces of business or one large client account. They serve as a senior day-to-day counselors to their clients, and are focused on growth, acting as advocate and champion the Ogilvy brand to our clients, employees and candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Nurture and grow key client relationships by being a trusted advisor to client management and working as an objective insider and advocate for the entire client organization 
  • Hunt for organic new business growth and identify new business opportunities
  • Understand the agency business model, the Ogilvy OS and identifying and utilizing all Agency capabilities to produce exceptional results for the client 
  • Lead growth of existing accounts, working with senior leaders to develop and direct new business program development and presentations
  • Manage client P&L, business growth and an operating target margin of 60%
  • Ensure management of client expectations; lead team to successfully meet goals  
  • Develop and manage projects and programs, including strategies, implementation plans, evaluation mechanisms, staffing plans, timelines and budgets
  • Responsible for hiring, managing and developing a team, providing timely feedback on job performance and identifying growth opportunities for staff; ensure clear direction in a supportive environment
  • Leverage full resources of the firm, increasing client/agency points of contact
  • Provide proactive leadership to accounts, staff and clients
  • Oversee media relations strategy, ensuring pitches are executed appropriately
  • Draft high-level communications, including op-eds and speeches
  • Develop and direct new business programs, including closely coordinating with the senior leaders and participating in the new business process from start to finish

Qualifications

  • 8-12 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role and strong experience in the Health & Wellness industry
  • Digitally fluent, with an understanding of the complex, fragmented media landscape and how to bring together cohesive programs and drive results for clients
  • Appreciation for how great work gets done and a commitment to ensuring creative excellence/output
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Strong networker of both internal and external talent, serving as the client’s gatekeeper
  • Strong communication skills, particularly with oral presentations
  • Insatiably curious, lifelong learner
