Social Media Strategist

The Social@Ogilvy team is looking for a Social Media Strategist to work

alongside a team of strategists, account managers, art directors, and senior

leaders in the successful development and execution of social strategies and

content for a large B2B and B2C client.

This position is an integral part of the Social@ team, and will

contribute strategic and creative thinking while managing the robust content

and editorial schedule of a key B2B/B2C client. The successful candidate will liaise

between the creative and strategy teams, oversee the development of creative

elements and ensure proper strategic execution, organize a number of moving

content pieces, and provide support to community manager. This person will also work closely across

internal departments – paid, brand, etc. - to ensure collaboration and

alignment.

Key skills for this position include the ability to work in

a fast paced, highly collaborative environment, an ever-present attention to

detail, the ability to shift and reprioritize quickly, promptly and effectively

problem solve, deliver results through ambiguity, the flexibility to engage

with differentiated inputs, and the ability to see the big picture and

demonstrate it using the numerous puzzle pieces of content and information. This

person needs to feel comfortable stepping into various roles – from community

management to campaign strategy – at any time to support all members of the

team.

Social@Ogilvy's practice is the dedicated Social Media

Marketing function within Ogilvy. Worldwide, the practice is comprised of close

to 100 experts in social media strategy, interactive design and programming,

and social media measurement. We're a truly global team focused on a strategic

approach to Word of Mouth marketing – operationalized through social media. Our

clients range from major consumer brands to government agencies and movements

for social action.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with brand strategist, brand managing editor and creative team to

oversee development of monthly editorial content calendar, ensure content

maps to message platforms, and adheres to brand tone and voice

  • Work closely with content production leader to provide feedback on content,

ensure on-time content delivery, and ensure all content aligns with brand

strategy

  • Think creatively to produce new ideas and content initiatives each

month/quarter/year for a consistently superior social content calendar

  • Manage multiple deliveries and priorities in the timely delivery of creative assets
  • Provide leadership, guidance and support to community manager
  • Work closely with internal team on the development of creative social strategies
  • Liaise

with internal teams as well as client to manage and procure content

sources

  • Work closely with paid social lead to develop paid recommendations and A/B

content tests on monthly basis

  • Manage execution of social media campaigns
  • Provide strategic creative insight in quarterly reporting
  • Innovate solutions and efficiencies in content and editorial planning
  • Contribute strategic thinking to brand initiatives

Required qualifications:

  • 2-3years of relevant work experience in social media
  • Deep knowledge of and passion for social media and digital culture
  • Experience with a financial and/or B2B client a plus
  • Outstanding communication, research and analytical skills
  • Clear experience with process management, including organization and time management
  • Must be extremely detail oriented, collaborative, but able to work independently in a fast paced,
  • deadline driven environment
  • Ability to work effectively and proactively within a team setting
  • BA/BS
