SEO Strategist

The SEO Strategist is responsible for providing SEO guidance for key groups within a Fortune 50 client. Within this role you will function as a key member of a consulting team responsible for all aspects of SEO including technical issues, content strategy, on-site optimization and performance reporting. In addition to solid SEO knowledge and client facing skills, you must be comfortable developing and executing strategies and SEO tasks with minimal supervision.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the delivery of all daily SEO-related tasks and associated deliverables as the primary SEO point of contact for key groups within the client organization
  • Conduct advanced keyword research based on client needs and objectives
  • Creation of data driven content recommendations and strategies
  • Provide detailed on-page optimization recommendations
  • Research and analysis of client and competitor sites
  • Technical site auditing
  • Measurement and performance reporting
  • Propose new offerings based on client needs


  • 3-5 years of SEO experience preferably with large brands or enterprise companies
  • Strong understanding of major search engine algorithms
  • Ability to identify and recommend solutions to technical hurdles including CMS and Server related issues
  • Strong experience with industry standard tools
  • Fundamental understanding of HTML, experience with CSS, JavaScript a plus
  • Familiarity / working experience with popular website analytics applications
  • Experience and a strong desire to use analytical and strategic approaches on a daily basis
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, including relationships between other (non-SEO) online channels (paid search, display, social, etc.)
  • Experience and proficiency with Google Webmaster Tools & Google Analytics
  • Experience working with BrightEdge, Moz, Screaming Frog and other SEO industry tools
  • Familiarity with Adobe Marketing Cloud (formerly Omniture), GA and other analytics packages
  • Familiarity with popular CMS platforms (Adobe Experience Manager, WordPress, etc.)
