Senior Account Manager


The Senior Account Executive a Junior-level communications professional with professional job experience capable of handling a broad range of projects with a high degree of independence and sound judgment. Our SAE will possess the ability and experience to play a primary, independent implementation role in client work. 


  • Account management: Maintain day-to-day contact with the client; ensure timely delivery of projects; oversee daily monitoring including editing daily report; manage specific projects that are part of a larger campaign; develop programming with senior account team; supervisor more junior staff to ensure they have a balanced workload and the information they need to complete tasks on deadline
  • Project implementation: Manages the implementation of PR plan, including press conferences, media briefings, analyst meetings, media tours, third-party advocacy programs, b-roll shoot
  • Media outreach: Pitch trade and consumer reporters; develop relationships with reporters; develop media pitch; contribute to the design of and execute media relations campaigns
  • Editorial: Draft PR materials, including press releases, backgrounders, pitch letters and other documents; edit writing of junior-level staffers; oversee referencing, assist as needed
  • Finance: Oversee the preparation of monthly team activity reports; develop and maintain financial trackers for projects; develop budgets for programs with minimal supervision; ensure vendors are paid on a timely manner
  • Business development: Assist with new business development, including taking an active role as part of the development/pitch team; attend brainstorms; gather and organize information, and assist with program development, as requested
  • Research: Help with research, including Internet searches, third-party audits, media audits, identification of KOLs; evaluates and analyzes information and data, including development of succinct, accurate summaries and analyses of research


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • Two to three years related experience required with established track record including experience working autonomously
  • Experience presenting information both orally and in writing
  • Solid business writing skills
  • Working knowledge of media basics
  • MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel
