Loyalty Operations Analyst

The Loyalty Operations Analyst is the technical liaison between clients, internal project teams, partners, and vendors. He/She will articulate business requirements for enhancements or builds related to the program’s tracking application or other related functionality. In addition, the Loyalty Operations Analyst is responsible for coordinating day to day operations in support of the loyalty program’s tracking application and the vendors that support it. The role understands business problems and how to execute potential solutions in the context of available technology and the client’s marketing goals and objectives. This person will be working in a fast paced environment where the amount of rigor needed for each project fluctuates.

The Loyalty Operations Analyst will use expert collaboration, communication, and problem solving skills to:

  • Elicit, analyze, communicate and validate the scope for identified work
  • Work with business owners in defining detailed business rules and project requirements
  • Effectively and efficiently document requirements using standard templates and requirements documentation best practices
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on projects related to the program’s tracking application throughout the project including (intake/scoping, requirements definition, design and delivery)
  • Assist team in identify technology solutions to business challenges
  • Respond to and resolve day to day operational changes/issues quickly and accurately
  • Coordinates with vendors to ensure projects and maintenance tasks are completed accurately and on time per requirements and client requests
  • Collaborate with technical clients and non-technical clients on special projects


  • 3-5 years business analysis experience, preferably in a marketing or agency environment
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in the use of various tools and techniques associated with business requirements definition and design, including functional requirements, traceability matrices, user requirements, and related tools
  • Familiarity with system development activities within database-driven web
  • Familiarity with interface design and development and knowledge of database ETL
  • Ability to interpret functional and non-functional requirements into logical design components
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), MS Project and Visio
  • Bachelors Degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or other related field or equivalent work experience required
  • Exposure to service oriented architecture (SOA) is a plus
  • Systems development experience is a plus
