Junior Analyst, Social - Ogilvy PR
A day in the life of...
With the expansion of OPR London's Analytics & Data services, we have the need for a Junior Analyst, particularly in the field of social and digital media. A strong interest in data is a must, with a preference for social media data. Experience with social listening tools and excel is desireable, although the candidate will be trained in the specifics of what we do, so it's important the candidate is keen to learn. The new analyst should be curious, inquizative, and adept at problem solving.
We rely on you to...
Use third-party and proprietary analytics tools to generate analysis insight. • Analyse large, complex and often unstructured datasets to generate actionable insight. • Deliver findings in written qualitative and quantitative insight reports. • Have the ability to repeat tasks accurately. • Be involved during client meetings and presentations. • Be available to other members of the agency to answer data and analytics questions. • Contribute to innovation in analysis methodologies. • Keep on top of trends in data analysis and social media, and continue to proactively learn and develop your skillset.
You are great at...
Fluent in professional English and a thorough, descriptive writer. Knowledge of another language is a bonus. • Some knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, with the ability to find solutions to questions independently. • Experience with datasets, and drawing insight from them. • Proven reporting writing and presentation skills. • The ability to coherently explain complicated data or analytical processes to people who may not have a good understanding. • A knowledge of the marketing environment, social media and wider culturally-relevant issues. • An understanding of the digital media landscape, emerging trends, software and platforms. • Advanced computer skills: Excel and Powerpoint are essential. • Experience with social listening (Brandwatch, Crimson Hexagon) is desirable.
