Group Search Director

Overview

Associate Search Directors (ASD) have all the Star Qualities of a Search Supervisor but also participate in new business, may also be proficient at natural search engine optimization (SEO) and usually report directly to a Group Search Director. The ASD is expected to function at a highly efficient level, manage teams on multiple accounts and to maintain a significant mid-level client relationship

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of search team workflow and oversight of search recommendations, execution details, budgets/accounting
  • Keep up to date with the latest in the search engine and SEM industry –identify trends, new approaches etc.
  • Train, motivate & develop Search Supervisors, Search Planners and Assistant Search Planners
  • Contribute to search new business pitches
  • Assist in staff planning and resource allocation
  • Perform as a leader with minimal supervision

Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of interactive planning experience with minimum of 2 years hands-on SEM experience and strong background of optimizing websites for search engines and planning/buying paid search campaigns
  • Supervisory experience overseeing team training and growth
  • Client service experience with mid-level clients
  • Problem-solving, conflict resolution and prevention
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills (including presentation and facilitation)
