Freelance Scrum Master

We're searching for a proven digital leader with a passion for agile and emerging technologies who can lead the production of interactive experiences for a high profile client.

Responsibilities:

1) Facilitate client teams to conduct marketing and development efforts within an Agile process

  • Facilitate a sprint based work process through daily scrum meetings, feature presentations, retrospectives, and brainstorming sessions
  • Promote the empirical foundations of scrum – transparency, inspection, and adaptatip>
  • Help team write user stories, and determine success criteria for stories and sprint goals
  • Understand larger client initiatives that affect the client teams and help integrate them into sprints as applicable

2) Create better integration between client teams and Ogilvy to result in more cohesive campaigns and greater team efficiency

  • Promote the 'ATI' model of client/Ogilvy team collaboration in the scrum process
  • Encourage greater transparency between agency teams and client teams
  • Periodic reporting for senior leadership on the client and Ogilvy side

3) Educate teams on the correct process and tools to achieve results

  • Use Trello and other workflow tools to manage documents and project backlogs
  • Onboard new team members to the 'ATI' model of the scrum process
  • Promote Agile principles using client's existing tools and templates (Slack communities, training videos, and tracking tools)

Requirements:

  • 4+ years delivering interactive, modern web and/or cloud applications in a Scrum Master role working with cross-functional teams
  • In-depth knowledge of one or more Agile frameworks
  • Excellent business presentation and facilitation skills
  • Experience with iterative development methodologies and continuous delivery practices
  • Effective in motivating teams and guiding them through impediments and/or conflict
