FKH - Senior Account Executive/Account Supervisor

The Senior Account Executive / Account Supervisor will support B2B clients in the areas of marketing communications and public relations.

The successful candidate must be able to juggle multiple assignments and clients with a high degree of success and independence. The candidate must have strong writing, editing and proofing skills. The candidate must show strict attention to detail, be highly organized, proactive and inspire confidence among peers and clients. S/he will also enjoy working in a smart, dynamic, entrepreneurial, client-focused, team-oriented environment. S/he must be successful at juggling multiple projects and clients at one time and maintain poise and a positive attitude even during the busiest crunch times.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

§ Manage projects and events in a collaborative, cross-office environment

§ Manage day-to-day client account work, including writing various communications materials (i.e.: press releases, fact sheets, media backgrounders, program recommendations, web content.)

§ Proactively advance projects independently and flag issues for manager and colleagues as they arise

§ Display a high degree of professionalism and confidence when engaging with clients

§ Act as liaison between client, outside partners/vendors and internal teams

§ Monitor and manage client budgets and the financial performance of individual client relationships

Required Skills, Knowledge, Must Haves, and Experience of the “A” Player:

§ Minimum of 6+ years of communications experience in a communications/public relations firm or life sciences organization required (agency/client services or consulting experience preferred)

§ A passion and interest in B2B communications

§ Experience in communicating and “translating” complex scientific and technical information, business to business communications experience

§ Understanding and knowledge of life sciences industry and all aspects of drug discovery and development

§ Strong overall grasp of the communications function including writing press releases, fact sheets, backgrounders, web content, newsletters, marketing communications materials, media relations, etc.

§ Demonstrated writing, editing, and presenting skills

§ Hands on experience and knowledge using social media

§ Strong project management experience

§ Ability to monitor and manage client’s budgets and the team’s financial performance

§ Ability to delegate and manage work of junior staff

Education (degrees, technical training, etc.):

§ Bachelor’s degree in communications, life sciences or related degree required

Technical Expertise (systems, sciences, technologies, etc.):

§ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required

Work Conditions (Travel requirements, etc.):

§ Some travel (<10%)
