Financial Analyst

Purpose of Position:

This role will work mainly across Neo NY/GSI (70%), with

some responsibility to the Neo Worldwide (30%). The Finance Analyst works

with the Assistant Controller and Finance Director to establish the overall

Corporate accounting, budgeting and financial reporting policies and procedures

which will provide effective control and satisfy the informational requirements

of senior executive management, line and staff management & independent


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the coordination and submission of all

internal and external periodic reporting to Corp Headquarters and/or parent

company (actuals, budgets, re-forecasts, balance sheet variance analyses,

interest, foreign currency, special year end reporting items (YE reporting


  • Submit reporting in Cartesis (reporting system). Submission

must accurate and timely

  • Manage reporting deadlines
  • Posting journal

entries in relation to month end close and requests from CFAs

  • Assist in intercompany payables and receivables
  • Balance Sheet Review
  • Assist in all internal and external Audits
  • Participate in any and all Sarbanes Oxley initiatives

regarding the NY Office

  • Perform reconciliations and analyses of key accounts and

coordinate activities with the treasury and accounts payable department

  • Liaise with Client Finance to ensure Balance Sheet

commentary is updated

  • Work on Ad Hoc items for Neo NY as well as Neo WW
  • Ensure all Neo WW deadlines (Monthly & Quarterly) are

met, e.g. NB Pipeline, Manpower reports, Client P&L's etc.

Measures of Performance:

  • Overall accuracy of accounting records and financial


  • Overall accuracy of budgeting and re-forecasting.
  • Adequacy of internal controls.

Knowledge and Skill Required:

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, conscientious

and detail-oriented. It is critical that the selected individual is committed

to the requirement of quality, reliable financial reporting. The core qualifications are as follows:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Knowledge of accounting terminology
  • Minimum of 1-3 years

experience in performing accounting and reporting functions; Experience in the

Advertising, Media and/or Entertainment industry a plus but not required

  • Exposure to Sarbanes Oxley Reporting preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Good

presentation skills and the ability to document information clearly and

concisely (Using Powerpoint)

  • PC proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word and experience

with Cartesis and SAP a plus

  • A valued work ethic and the ability to handle multiple tasks

as this is a very fast paced office
