Digital Production Intern

Overview

We are seeking a digital enthusiast with an understanding of the wider digital communications landscape and a curiosity about how digital projects come together, to join the Digital Production team at Ogilvy NY. Interns are responsible for assisting producers and project managers in their daily tasks, focused on the day-to-day management of digital marketing programs. We are looking for someone who is available to work full time, for an engagement of four months at minimum.

Responsibilities

  • Research and come to understand the mechanics of how digital ideas evolve into fully-fledged, built-out projects, and how those projects fit into larger marketing ecosystems
  • Assist in creation and management of project-related documents:
  • Schedule, staffing, and budget estimates
  • Status communications for work progress and finance
  • Assist in content entry for large content-oriented digital projects:
  • Version control of copywriting and visual design assets
  • Content data entry via Content Management Systems (CMS) and subsequent QA
  • Facilitate effective task and workflow management amongst agency team members and external partners. A typical cross-disciplinary digital team includes account, strategy, creative, user experience, analytics, technology, QA, production, and other partners
  • Prioritize team, client, and end audience needs alongside technical feasibility
  • On-time on-budget delivery of digital projects of the highest quality

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to work full time (40hrs/wk)
  • Relevant internship experience at an advertising agency or startup
  • Fluency in Web, social media, banner technologies, and platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Tumblr, WordPress
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Maturity and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills, to facilitate involvement in multiple projects
  • Self-starter, can-do mentality
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel; familiarity with mobile technology and devices
  • Light HTML familiarity and/or graphic design experience a plus
