Copywriter

Overview

Ogilvy Copywriters are storytellers that use words and narratives to bring ideas to life. They lead brands into fresh creative territories through the skilled use of language in conveying messages, thoughts and feelings. They care for proper spelling and grammar, but most of all, they care for the consumer, and will always speak to him in an appropriate manner. They are problem solvers and approach projects with rational and innovative mindsets.

Responsibilities

On any given day you might

  • Brainstorm, craft stories and build brands through campaign-level thinking and execution – whether through Film, Print, Radio, Outdoor, Activation, Digital, PR or Social
  • Cascade and translate campaign ideas to various BTL, OOH and Digital executions
  • Envision and create the tone and personality of a brand/campaign
  • Present and sell ideas to our clients
  • Oversee the production of the different creative output for clients
  • Write scripts, presentations, cases, taglines, name studies, and possibly jingles
  • Collaborate with Art Directors or other disciplines to create the best possible work
  • Participate in initiatives to elevate the creative profile of Ogilvy

 

The ideal person

  • Has proven skills in the areas of writing, storytelling, poetry (songwriting is a plus!)
  • Has perfect grammar, a wide vocabulary, and can write in English and Filipino
  • Detail-oriented with a good eye for overall output
  • An interest in cultivating strong leadership skills
  • Is a fresh thinker who embraces challenges and new methods of thinking
  • Is comfortable thinking conceptually in a media-neutral manner
  • Is self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong communications skills

Qualifications

You bring

  • 3+ years’ experience writing for the web, advertising (including Social) and broadcast news
  • Proficiency in Mac OSX, Microsoft Office and Acrobat
