Ogilvy & Mather is looking for a Client Finance Manager to support our Client

Finance Director in managing and developing a team of 3 Client Finance

Analysts, and supporting our clients and account teams on all financial matters

related client work. In this role, you will be a financial and commercial

partner to the Ogilvy Account team/s (and other internal departments as

appropriate), reviewing and assisting in the approval of scopes of work,

creating accurate staff plans, and monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on

client revenue, budgets, billing, expenses, and all other finances. You will

also work on improving and maintaining quality control over processes and procedures,

ensuring compliance with SOX, industry, and company standards, while leading by

example and acting as a mentor to finance team members.


  • Support the Client Finance Director in the overall financial

management of the team and the team’s client portfolio.

  • Liaise and advise account teams on all commercial matters

including issues related to: reviewing and approving scopes of work, properly

pricing staff plans for client engagements, reviewing budgets, billings,

expenses and collections, and liaising on all work in conjunction with reaching

appropriate solutions for our clients

  • Responsible for monthly revenue recognition for material

clients according to corporate guidelines and SOX compliance standards – monthly

revenue reconciliation of billing, accrued revenue, deferred income

and payments to other intercompany units

  • Forecasting, analyzing and reporting on client revenue;

constant analysis of resource allocation and utilization (planned and actual) and

its correlation to client profitability.

  • Monitor contractual relationships with clients

to ensure compliance with all commercial and compensation terms.

  • Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and


  • Maintain proper support and documentation for

related revenue accruals and deferrals.

  • Oversee and manage client finance analysts – review of WIP,

AR and related variance analysis

  • Actively partner with client’s procurement team, as well as

internal/external/client audit teams on all key financial matters.

  • Keep Client Finance Director and management updated on

progress of projects and report back any difficulties, drawing on

analytical or problem solving skills to resolve any difficulties that can

be solved quickly, efficiently, and according to quality and company standards/best


  • Ability to take on ad-hoc projects while exhibiting time

management skills to ensure that monthly recurring tasks are completed as


  • Maintain the integrity of the financial and management

reporting process, and ensure compliance with SOX standards and

contractual client requirements.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting &/or Finance required
  • At least 5 years of client-oriented financial experience


  • 1-2 years of experience managing, supervising, or overseeing

the work of other finance professionals/analysts

  • Solid experience with the business planning cycle, budgeting,

financial analysis, forecasting, profitability analysis, and management


  • The ability to assess and articulate financial risks, and

provide viable possible solutions.

  • The role demands excellent attention-to-detail in order to

eliminate the possibility of foreseeable errors

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize

work appropriately and efficiently

  • Expert-level experience with MS Excel as well as common Financial

software applications

  • Experience working comfortably within a fast-paced


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – good listener, proactive, someone

that can foster collaboration and drive changes.

  • Excellent presentation skills, able to communicate comfortably

with senior management in a clear, relevant and articulate manner.

  • A customer-service demeanor, along with analytical,

project management, documentation and technical writing skills.

  • The ability to work independently and solve problems with

minimal guidance.
