Business Partner: Business Analyst

Role Overview:

The role of the Ogilvy Technology Business Partner Team is to help all parts of the global organization realize great stewardship through the support of their technology investments, whether the solution be internal or client facing. Business Partners act as investigators, business analysts and architects, project managers, technology advisors, and management coaches working with a wide variety of internal teams, business units, executives and clients. Reporting directly to the Senior Business Partner of Ogilvy Technology, you will document and analyze system/platform needs, build business cases, and assist with planning the development and integration of desired business solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Liaise with Account and Client teams to gather and document requirements for new engagements
  • Lead detailed discovery sessions and synthesize findings
  • Work with IT and other business architects to design and scope new projects
  • Monitor and suggest continuous improvements to existing systems and processes


  • Bachelor’s Degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years experience working in a corporate environment
  • Experience in business analysis – figuring out what’s not working and how to work smarter
  • Experience in operational, process and system design – the core of what we do
  • Effective at project execution – getting things done even when it’s an uphill task
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels within the organization and build strong internal/external relationships
  • Ability to work collaboratively and be a strong team player – we are in the business of perspectives and need as many as we can get
  • Excellent presentation skills; strong documentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – great ideas aren’t much use if the only head they’re in is yours
  • Experience working with relational databases
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong time management & organizational skills
  • 2+ years project management experience a plus
