Title: Analyst, Media Insights & Analytics

Job Summary:

Analysts must be excellent problem solvers.

Analysts play a critical role working alongside the strategic planning teams and their advertising clients to improving marketing efficiency through measurement and research. The Analysts should be inherently curious about media and advertising technologies. Analysts will be expected to:

  • Design, execute measurement strategies tailored to Neo's media accounts across a multitude of advertising channels
  • Consult on the optimal mix of technologies for conducting marketing research to harvest actionable business insights that improve the validity and effectiveness of campaigns
  • Manipulate and analyze "big" data sets synthesized from a variety of sources
  • Present findings in a concise, logical and visual manner to the strategy teams and directly to the clients


  • Assist media analytics and planning teams with various analytic projects
  • Retrieve raw research data compiled from 3rd party media tools and synthesize it into usable forms for media team usage
  • Assist client in running numerous reports, i.e. creative performance, cluster analysis, etc.
  • Maintain library of up-to-date internet industry statistics and reports
  • Maintain and teach others to use media systems
  • Generate competitive ad spend reports
  • Assist in original research and the writing of reports


  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar marketing or research role, especially from marketing analytics firm
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in quantitative marketing, economics, mathematics, statistics, finance or a science
  • Strong analytical orientation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of marketing research and scientific methods
  • Proficiency in MS office

Additional desirable experience:

  • Data manipulation, and statistics knowledge (MySQL, SAS, SPSS)
  • Web Coding (html, javascript, python)
  • Web Measurement Technologies (ad servers, web analytics platforms)
  • Syndicated market research tools (Gfk, MRI, Nielsen, Comscore, Simmons, Scarborough, IMS, HitWise)
