Affiliate Account Manager

Overview

The Account Manager is a full-time position that is primarily responsible for driving growth in the affiliate program for a top tier client, and managing a team to execute growth strategies. The candidate will report to the Account Director. The Account Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the affiliate program including client-facing responsibilities and supervising the day-to-day work of account executives, which respond to affiliate partner inquiries and assist with client requests including reporting and outreach. The Account Manager will lead affiliate campaigns, specialized integrations, publisher recruitment, performance optimization, reporting analysis, and brand adherence. The Account Manager will proactively resolve issues and maintain all relevant internal and external stakeholders up-to-date on program developments.

Responsibilities

  • To have a complete understanding of the client's business
  • Monitoring and communicating all deliverables for the team
  • Short and long-term client targets and needs
  • Market conditions and trends impacting the client's business
  • Manage assignment, progress, execution, delivery and communications related to projects, tasks, deadlines, and deliverables against the client's KPIs
  • Supervise account executives to complete projects and tasks, bringing about incremental sales through publisher optimizations, and offering excellent affiliate support
  • Provide training to new local team members
  • Share knowledge and best practices with global team members
  • Quickly and accurately build ad-hoc reports at client request
  • Develop and grow client's portfolio of active, performing, influential publishers that stay on brand
  • Pursue full and current awareness of current top performing affiliates and sales trends
  • Develop an excellent professional working relationship with the client
  • Conduct all client and publisher calls with the utmost courtesy and professionalism, including preparations of agenda, call summaries with next steps, and assignment of action items
  • Oversee professional and skill development for account executives
  • Maintain open communication lines internally and externally

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 - 3 years' experience within the affiliate industry required
  • Affiliate network or affiliate agency experience preferred
  • Proven team management and leadership experience
  • High level of commercial awareness, especially as it relates to digital content
  • Excellent written, oral presentation and analytics skills
  • Proficient in Excel/Numbers and Powerpoint/Keynote
  • Client-facing experience with a strong sense of strategic direction
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team
  • Proactive, self-motivated, driven, resourceful
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic technical knowledge preferred (ie. cookies, URL coding, etc.)
