The Account Supervisor exhibits the necessary skills of the account discipline. This person is responsible for the overall service and of their account(s). They help represent the agency of a day-to-day basis and also demonstrate the ability to use key tenets of project management: project definition, scope management, and team management.
Lead interface with clients, creative teams, production, and consulting teams.
Autonomous project management of multiple large projects.
Accountability for quality assurance across all deliverables.
Actively serves as a mentor to team members and establishes career objectives for junior team members.
Helps integrate junior team members and educates them on their client, their target, and their products.
Contributes to the development of business reporting and comprehensive competitive marketing analyses.
Possesses and demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the dynamics and workings of the client’s business
Demonstrates knowledge of the overall competitive landscape
Demonstrates knowledge of client and Agency operations and working knowledge of Agency matrix
Advocates for the business internally, and keeps the agency team informed, focused, and enthused about the work and the business
Builds trusting relationships with all department heads
Understands and knows how to navigate client’s political structure
Develops, manages and communicates changes to plans
Aware of budget recalibration needs
Offers alternate perspectives and approaches in developing effective advertising strategies
Creates, writes, and presents agency POVs to client
Participates in focus groups, strategy development, and competitive assessment
Builds strong links with other Agency partners to develop effective strategies, briefings and creative and strategic work
Collaborates with others (analytics, etc) to contribute to marketing communications plans.
Participates in the presentation and selling through of work
Evaluates the input and ideas of creative, media and strategic planning relative to strategy and client preferences
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
4 – 6 years agency experience required, in one or more disciplines
Experienced in presenting information, both orally and in writing
MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills
Demonstrated capability and experience in mentoring a team
