Account Supervisor

A responsible client-‐facing role in a workplace with all the nimble qualities of a creative boutique within Ogilvy & Mather NY. The Account Supervisor (AS) will partner with passionate writers, designers and art directors who aim high, every day. The AS will operate in a project based, team orientation with a lot of variety in what they do and how they do it. They will be accountable across a fairly flat structure without many levels of hierarchy. They'll keep fresh with a client mix of blue chips and start ups, B2B and B2C marketers. The AS will practice all communications specialty services and learn new skills alongside industry-‐recognized experts.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a highly efficient workflow process
  • Help build and execute ideas that have made and will always make, brand matter
  • Primary day to day business lead on all aspects of the department's business on multiple accounts
  • Obtain, possess and demonstrate a knowledge of the Client's business, competitive set, structure and process
  • Juggle Client expectations, objectives, budgets and timelines with the Agency team's needs for clarity of objective and enough time to produce great work
  • Freely collaborate with other agency departments
  • Write compelling project briefs
  • Provide a critical and discerning eye, and relay constructive feedback
  • Drive the meeting, participate in the presentation and contribute to the sale of creative work
  • Help coach and inspire the growth and development of junior staff

Qualifications:

  • Execution/production of print/DM/collateral and digital display is second nature
  • Possesses strong digital knowledge and/or working knowledge of video/broadcast and mobile; strong interest in learning/using new technology platforms
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and comprehension skills; keen appetite for problem solving
  • Calm In the face of pressure to prioritize, multi-‐task, scenario-‐plan, keep costs down and organize
  • Solid presentation and writing skills
  • Fiscal smarts, understanding of resource management and P&L impact
  • Strong interest in learning/using new technology platforms
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PDF writer, PPT; InDesign, keynote and Microsoft Project a plus
  • Energetic and positive
  • Someone who expects to learn every day and takes responsibility to achieve it
  • A tendency towards a detail-‐orientation and an understanding that reputation and credibility rests on being accurate
