Account Director (Digital/Performance Planning)

Job Purpose:

  • Accountable for all aspects of the global campaign process and strategy delivery
  • Lead the development of global processes and governance of local market execution
  • Deliver quarterly and annual insights to help drive performance across the globe
  • The AD is responsible for managing two media planners
  • It is expected that the AD will participate in new business pitches and in supporting new client opportunities globally

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Overall media objectives & strategies that fulfill the client business objectives
  • Oversight on all aspects of client’s media services
  • Staff development: 2x Media Planner

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years media experience – global experience desirable
  • Proven leadership skills and management experience
  • Excellent communication skills (including written, verbal, presentation and facilitation)
  • Varied account background including both brand and performance media

  • Exceptional leadership skills demonstrated through staff development and ownership of client and agency initiatives
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications and presentation skills
  • Understanding of revenue to staffing relationship and motivation to improve metrics
  • Dynamic presence in presentations and other forms of client or internal communication
  • Ability to align team members & clients, with media strategies and metrics in new areas
  • Excellent track record of maintaining multiple client engagements at once and presenting growth opportunities
  • Working knowledge of both brand and performance media
  • Established relationships with site technology partners and external agency partners
  • Capable of serving as a Neo ambassador and demonstrating grace in challenging internal/external scenarios
  • Ability to properly delegate tasks to staff to ensure appropriate utilization
  • Excellent client rapport

Foster Strong Client and Inter-Agency Relationships:

  • Partner with account leads on all aspects of client service (internally within Neo, Ogilvy Group and external agencies)
  • Build trusting, collaborative relationships with clients of mid to senior levels
  • Stay on top of business and client concerns to head off issues
  • Look for opportunities to provide better client support
  • Include Neo / Ogilvy senior leadership in appropriate Client meetings

Additional Requirements:

  • Work with Business Directors and Business Partners to help identify areas to grow client business significantly and/or develop new revenue opportunities
  • Raise planning group proficiency – leadership, quality, efficiency
