Technical Product Manager

OFX are a grown up start-up, and now as a leader in the Fin Tech industry, we are currently we are looking for an experienced Product Manager to play a critical role in our success story. Partnering with the business, the technology team, and external stakeholders you will be responsible for maximising the value of our API's and the work done by our development team. You will be involved in leading the creation, refinement, prioritisation and delivery of the product roadmap, ensuring that our API's effectively address user and business needs while maintaining technical integrity.

 What you'll be doing

Ensuring the product roadmap achieves the maximum value for our business, clients, and customers, through:

  • Creating and owning the product roadmap
  • Ensuring a clear understanding of the market, competitors, and our clients and customers
  • Working with Marketing and strategy & execution teams to ensure the roadmap is aligned with strategic and marketing priorities
  • Ensuring that appropriate contracts, documentation, and processes are in place for our APIs
  • Supporting the product development process and working with the scrum teams during development, including sprint planning, daily stand ups, sprint retrospective, stakeholder and final acceptance and documentation
  • Understanding, qualifying and evaluating all requests against the strategy and product roadmap
  • Ensuring the product backlog is prioritised and contains all relevant stories, acceptance criteria, and artefacts required for development
  • Ensuring API development is prioritised into the appropriate teams' backlogs for development
  • Working closely with key internal stakeholders to understand their priorities, ensuring these are appropriately reflected in the product roadmap and product backlog
  • Ensuring timely communication of release of information for marketing and operations
  • As key customer contact for API's, responsible for working with the wholesale team to onboard relevant clients, and acting as a single point of contact for clients for technical and operational issues

 What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with high academic achievement
  •  Agile experience desirable

Knowledge, skills, experience
  •  4+ years product management experience from development through to launch 
  • Solid background as an online product manager with proven ability to achieve revenue targets and meet deadlines 
  • Technical understanding of API's as well as proven technical background
  • Analysis and Decision Making - can identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities and develop appropriate solutions
  • Superior negotiation skills combined with strong customer service ethic
  • Strong planning skills and robust attention to detail
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people
  • Demonstrated success defining, managing and launching excellent products 
  • Ability to manage project timelines to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time and within budget 
  • Ability to identify market trends and customer needs, conceptualise new product opportunities and build innovative solutions 
  • Excellent organisational, communication (verbal and written), influencing, marketing, planning and interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills 
  • Must be a motivated self-starter and enthusiastic 
  • Can think outside the box and recommend solutions
