Special Event Project Team - Tampa

"I am looking for someone to share in an adventure I am arranging, and it's very difficult to find anyone."

J.R.R Tolkien, from The Hobbit, or There and Back Again

If you are looking to share in an adventure with Oak Island Creative,

we are looking for you to fill seasonal positions all across the US.

Oak Island Creative is has immediate openings in our Tampa, Florida production shop.

We are producing world class consumer events to the enjoyment of thousands. We need carpenters and painters -- we need lighting electricians and theatre technicians -- we need riggers and we need scenic artists. We need skilled specialists in all of these areas to add to our event installation and project teams to help put together themed events all across the country. Are you ready to join us on these adventures?

The Project Teams are responsible for working with the Project Manager and the Design team for the full installation of our events. Depending on the project, the Project Teams could expect to work in any of the following disciplines:

  • themed lighting
  • carpentry
  • scenic artists
  • set dressing
  • electrical rigging
  • rigging and hanging of decor
  • transportation of decor and elements
  • general power
  • themed decorating and
  • various production support needs.

You must have your own basic tools and a reliable mode of transportation to and from the local project site. Our projects are often outdoors in the blue sky and fresh air (which can also mean heat, humidity, rain and very cold days -- so be prepared!)

These are project seasonal positions. Current positions are expected to start in August and run to mid February, with most team members having time off for the Christmas holidays. We pay for housing and travel for those who are not hired for a local project. Travel is required -- all Project Team members will be required to travel to our job sites for project installations.

Although the current projects will end, team members may remain on our seasonal roster for continued projects throughout the year, with some team members transitioning to full time.

Working on a project at Oak Island Creative is an incredible experience -- just see what our teams have to say. Come join us for a some great projects!
